One of the oldest medical systems in existence, Tibetan Medicine offers a truly personalized approach to cultivating health based on each individual’s unique typology. Through understanding the distinctive traits of our own body and mind, we can make better choices to prevent and cure disease and to support our own well-being.
In this public talk, Dr. Nyinda will teach the fundamentals of Tibetan Medicine, including the five elements and three humors that are the foundation of typology, and will offer Tibetan medical advice about the best diet, lifestyle, and external therapies for each type. She will also share simple ‘kitchen pharmacy’ remedies that can be made using the food and spices in our own home.
Dr. Nashalla Nyinda trained in the Chagpori lineage under the disciples of master doctor Trogawa Rinpoche. She is an adjunct professor at Naropa University, and maintains a clinic in Boulder, Colorado with her husband, Dr. Tsundu Nyinda.
