Yuthok Nyingthig Ngondro 7-Day Retreat with Eric Rosenbush & Jason Whitlow

The Yuthok Nyingthig is the unique spiritual tradition of Tibetan Medicine, a complete cycle of Vajrayana Buddhist practice containing essential meditations, transformative inner yogas, practices to cultivate healing abilities, and benefitting rituals. Created by Yuthok Yonten Gonpo, the father of Tibetan Medicine, it is known for its concise, accessible methods and its nonsectarian approach — it is perfect for modern, busy people. Practicing the Yuthok Nyingthig improves health and longevity, enhances compassion and wisdom, and ultimately brings spiritual liberation.

The Yuthok Nyingthig has been kept secret for most of its history — only recently has it been taught more openly, thanks to the kindness of Dr. Nida Chenagtsang and his teachers.

Practitioners who wish to progress along the path of the Yuthok Nyingthig engage a series of (mostly) 7-day retreats, with the Ngondro 'preliminary practices' retreat serving as the entrance to the entire path. The Ngondro purifies the body, energy, and mind and lays the foundation for all further practices.

In this retreat, each day will comprise four practice sessions consisting of physical yogas, group chanting, visualization, and silent meditation and contemplation. Participants are encouraged to join as many sessions as possible, and will remain in silence throughout the retreat, using the voice only for the chanting of mantras and prayers.

This is a non-residential retreat, with meal options.

All are welcome to join — there are no prerequisites.

Completion of the Ngondro retreat enables one to engage the more advanced Yuthok Nyingthig practices including the Guru Yogas, Six Yogas, Karmamudra, Mahamudra, and Dzogchen. It is a prerequisite for the Yuthok Nyingthig Tummo and Karmamudra teachings offered by Dr. Nida Chenagtsang September 22–26 at Pure Land Farms in Topanga, California.

Please review The Tibetan Art of Good Karma, and contemplate the Four Thoughts regularly in your daily life. You may also wish to attend the Introduction to the Yuthok Nyingthig Ngondro workshop offered September 2 online and in San Rafael.
