In this workshop, we will learn the Mebum cupping techniques used in the practice of Ku Nye Tibetan Massage and Tibetan External Therapies. Mebum uses vacuum pressure created by copper or glass cups to remove an excess of the nyepa from the body. This technique helps to relieve tension and stagnation and promote energy flow.
This workshop is open to everyone — bodyworkers, health practitioners of all traditions, and laypeople. Students who have not previously studied the Root Tantra (FTTM 1.1–1.4 or TTM 1.1) must attend the Introduction to Tibetan Medicine workshop on July 6.
This workshop extends and supplements the July 7–10 Ku Nye Tibetan Massage intensive and the July 12–13 Channels & Points workshop.
This workshop is part of the two-year Foundations of TTM program in Tibetan Medicine & External Therapies offered by Sorig Khang Bay Area. Students are welcome to attend individual workshops, or the entire program. Learn more →
